This comprehensive course is designed to equip aspiring educators with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to teach, assess, and support learners in a variety of education and training settings. Whether working one-to-one or in group settings, participants will develop a strong foundation in inclusive, learner-centered teaching practices, and become qualified to deliver VTCT and ITEC-accredited qualifications in their specialist area.

Maintain professional standards and healthy boundaries within an educational environment. -
Mental Health in Education
Learn how to support learners experiencing mental health challenges within the scope of your role. -
CPD Logs and Reflective Practice
Develop a habit of reflective practice and maintain a CPD (Continuing Professional Development) portfolio.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, learners will:
- Be confident in planning and delivering structured class plans and schemes of work.
- Understand how different individuals learn and apply strategies to engage all learning styles.
- Be equipped to teach and assess learners within ITEC and VTCT-accredited programmes.
- Be able to work effectively in both one-to-one and group teaching environments.
- Recognise and support learners with basic mental health needs within the classroom.
- Demonstrate the ability to assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.

25th January 2026 – On-site Teaching Practice & Feedback
8th February 2026 – Online Mental Health Awareness
22nd March 2026 – Online Reflective Practice
26th April 2026 – Online CPD & Professional Development
17th May 2026 – On-site Final Evaluation & Presentation
10am till 4pm when in center or online.

This course is suitable for anyone working in the hair, beauty or barbering industry.
Requirements
- Qualified in your respective field (proof of qualifications required)
- Minimum of 3 years industry experience in the area you wish to teach
- Good level of written and spoken English
- Access to a laptop/tablet to complete coursework and portfolio
- Willingness to complete 100 hours of work experience (fully supported and facilitated on-site)
